갤러리JJ는 2012년 개관 이래 지금까지 동시대미술을 조망하는 다양한 기획 전시들과 아트 컨설팅을 진행해오고 있으며, 주요 작가는 물론 전도유망한 국내외 작가들을 엄선하여 대중에게 소개해왔습니다. 작품성을 기반으로 하되 미술시장을 주시하여 KIAF 등의 국내외 아트페어의 장점을 적극 수용하고, 작가 프로모션 및 예술 관련 강좌 등 갤러리 프로그램을 통해 시대의 이슈가 있고 예술을 중심으로 사람들이 교류하는 공간, 미술문화의 저변을 확대시키는 문화공간의 역할을 하는 갤러리가 되고자 합니다. 갤러리JJ는 활발히 활동하는 동시대 국내외 작가들을 2020키아프의 참여작가로 선정하여 소개합니다. 사라 루카스, 서용선, 윤정원, 손정희, 최승윤, 박현주의 주요 작품들을 통해 동시대술과 예술시장의 발전에 기여하고 수준 높은 국내외 작가들을 다양한 관객층에게 널리 알리고자 합니다.
Since its inception in 2012, GalleryJJ has prepared and presented quality exhibitions and art consultancy in the contemporary art context. We have curated a coveted selection of artists both domestic and overseas based on the quality of work, but also the market outlook from various art fairs such as KIAF. We strive to become a novel cultural space that expands the boundaries of art through artist promotion events, lectures, and public talks that deal with contemporary issues. At KIAF 2020, we are pleased to present Sarah Lucas, Yongsun Suh, Jeongwon Yoon, Junghee Sohn, SeungYoon Choi, and Hyunjoo Park. With their major works, we wish to contribute to contemporary art discussions and the market and to showcase quality work to our collectors.
